Tried La Greek for the first time. Being from Eastern Europe I rarely find actual Greek/Mediterranean, non-Americanized food in OKC.
I ordered quite a few things from them.
Gyros - fabulous
Philly Steak - excellent. Maybe not the original recipe, delicious nevertheless.
Falafel sandwich - to die for
Beef shawarma - not a shawarma, just some slightly twisted americanized gyro
Spanakopitas - could use a bit more spices, delicious nonetheless.
Pita bread - really good.
Hummus - liquid. I've only once seen liquid hummus in my life, in one of those "kitchen nightmares" shows. This one was soup not hummus. Taste was off too, not enough lemon juice, so it was still slightly bitter, not enough virgin olive oil, just like someone got a can of garbanzo beans, didn't bother to strain them and just put them through a food processor.
I will order from them again, but now I know what to stay away from
I have been eating Gyros from La Greek since 1996. The current owners are outstanding and continue the tradition of amazing food for an affordable price. If you like gyros you will love the gyros La Greek serves up.
It has pretty great gyros. The food was very good. Our food was made fairly quick as well so we didn't have to wait long.
Great for a quick low priced lunch. I go there about once a week and they never disappoint.
