Overall I like this concept. The ambience is nice without seeming pretentious and the menu selections are diverse and creative. Execution seems to be all that's holding it back from being extraordinary. I didn't enjoy the way my food was executed and presented. Despite being passable as a good meal it lacked seasoning and the presentation was awkward, both in appearance and practicality. I still would go back though.
4.5* only because a little high but that may be because all the ingredients are fresh and mostly local or border state... Which is great! Only had appetizers looking for a snack (deviled eggs and goat dip w/sourdough bread, a lil to much olive oil with the goat cheese). Amazing smell just walking in and great atmosphere.
Delicious as always. I LOVE whiskey cake. The food is of amazing quality, drinks are great, and service is always exceptional. I also love the ambiance of the restaurant. And the whiskey cake dessert is to die for.
Try the whiskey cake! If nothing else that cake is an excuse to go. Its AMAZING! I'd go just for the cake. Food is pretty good too. Made from local ingredients freshly done. Kettle chips cooked to order!
The food was delicious, I just think it's overpriced. The atmosphere was pleasant, industrial/farmhouse simple, we were there for early afternoon, I bet night time is the right time. We ordered the deviled eggs. I really enjoyed their take/presentation on a classic picnic food (fresh basil/salami). I had a burger. It was a little too much bun, and the cheese was rich, but great flavor. My husband ordered their chicken and waffles... that had an interesting flavor, bacon in the waffle batter, and a rich gravy over the chicken. My absolute favorite was the Whiskey Cake recommended by our hostess. Fresh whipped cream, vanilla ice cream with sponge cake soaked in bourbon and caramel topped with pecans.
