Kalakas Restaurant & Bar

This place was most definitely the BEST place we have ever eaten at. The food is so affordable. $13.99 for three birria tacos and that’s all you need. They do use stew meat/beef for these tacos, so they literally melt in your mouth. So filling. The customer service was absolutely amazing.. the host even pulled our chairs out for me and my husband to sit down. We were checked on regularly and then the waiter even chatted with us about the quality of food. We will be making this a staple restaurant for our future date nights. Highly recommend to those who love Mexican food. The margaritas were also amazing as well. Not too strong, but strong enough to just need one. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a good date spot with Mexican food and good margaritas.

We had the BEST time. The margarita flight was so cute and delicious. The food was great with plenty to take home. The staff was so nice and attentive. We will be back soon. Also good job to whoever did all of the decor!

I cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderful, the staff was very helpful and kind, the decorations were beautiful, and the food was amazing. We started at a restaurant down the street about a block, and it wasn’t very welcoming to say the least. So we left, and came here. I’m so happy that we did. I found my new favorite restaurant. If you plan on going here, make sure to bring some cash. When we went, there was a gentleman selling roses, and a young lady. Selling chocolate covered strawberries to fund her quinceanera. Overall a fantastic experience. We will be back.

It was our first time trying Kalakas, I didn't know what to expect, but I expected it to be better. I got the Oklahoma burrito: comes with chicken, shrimp, steak, rice and beans. I got my sauce on the side,and was told it was really spicy but it lacked heat and flavor. The rice could use more seasoning but the beans were good. Babe got nachos they were good-more cheese than meat but good. His other dish was okay, and daughter got the birria tacos. It came with the consomme and a different side sauce, they were good to her, but could definitely use more flavor meat wise to me. Maybe we went on a not so good day 🤷🏽‍♀️ but I like to give places another chance 🤗 oh yeah the salsa and queso was good, queso was a lil thin tho

This place is really cute. Staff are excellent. Not a lot of English but incredibly nice. The food was delicious. Mexican carnitas plate and I had steak, chicken, shrimp and eggs. Absolutely delicious. The decor is amazing. Whoever the artist is, they are totally amazing. I definitely recommend it.
