Akeno, Japanese Grill, Sushi and Shabu

The place was clean with good ambience. We ordered Combination Dinner (Chicken and Shrimp) and Gyoza. It was just okay. The dinner plate was a bit salty. Service was good but not that great. We were brought water and never got asked for refills. Overall, I would rate it as 3.5/5.

Family was in town for Christmas and we had someone who had a very serious food allergy and limited in what they could eat. With the few places open, we found this restaurant, and were able to find something for everyone (6+people)! Their food to go was delicious, sushi fresh, and the spicy garlic edamame to die for.

While under the weather, all I was craving was a really good hibachi onion soup. My husband said “I think I know just the spot!” We ordered the soup as well as my favorite spicy garlic edamame. Once again the food was fresh, perfect temp, and my husband even agrees that we like their soup better than the Benihana’s we visit down in Houston.

We found a great date night spot and can’t wait to come in soon!

We had the dragon roll and a hot soup. Employees were nice. Nice restaurant.

Instant favorite. Very cute place, clean, chill. Attentive staff, great tempura, sushi, and hibachi. Top quality and freshness. The cook on the steak and veg was perfection.

Wonderful flavors and atmosphere. The lunch meals are very filling and the soup was amazing. My son loved the artistic presentation of the caterpillar sushi.
