Shad's Catfish Hole

Love this place. Excellent food lots of it and owner always speaks to us. The wait staff excellent.

Just finished eating there. Good food, family style. Plenty of food. Good catfish. Reminds me of an old, out of the way, fish house from back in the 60s and 70s . Good, friendly service. Reasonable prices.

The food was alright the seasoning on the fish left an aftertaste in my mouth but the crust was cooked just the way I like it. My only thing I truly didn't like was the guy (may have been owner not sure) at the cash register was sorta rude as I nicely handed him my bill he rips it out of my hand and tells us the price which isn't added before you pay. Also he didn't offer me a receipt so not sure what was charged for since no prices on the ticket and had to pay in cash... luckily we had money because normally only carry debit card. There was no sign anywhere saying don't take cards that I saw. Just from the rudeness of the guy and not knowing what I pay for I doubt I'll try it again. But it was a very popular place for the local people.

Listen, all you can eat catfish.... As a southern boy I shouldn't need to say anymore than that. There "set up" pinto beans, coleslaw, hush puppies, onion, pickle, and green tomato relish, all comes to your table almost immediately. Hush puppies covered in delicious pinto beans, man you could stop right there and have one of the best meals in the south (just need fried taters). But as they say in the infomercial wait that's not all. Your catfish and hand cut fries, baked potato, or baked beans come screaming hot from the kitchen. The catfish in my opinion was a little overcooked, but was very clean and fresh. To summarize, catfish... All you can eat... Pinto beans and hush puppies... All you can eat... Need I say more?

Best catfish and shrimp ever! Steak too. The beans and green tomatoes are the best! They have a lot more than this. Come over and see for yourself. I bet you love it as much as I do!!!!!
