Great addition to BA Main Street! The food was fabulous, and the service was friendly and great as well! Nice wine selection and other adult beverages. Our main dishes were the Vegetable Ramen and the Crispy Chicken Ramen and we added spicy to both. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu!!
My wife and I came in for dinner after passing by a few times. The meal was spot on for ramen. I had the pork belly (pictured) and my wife had the Ipin ramen. Soup tasted good. The Sushi was excellent. I ordered a simple spicy salmon roll. I would come back again.
We were just previously at the farmers market down the street with our dog, so we called ahead to see if we could bring our dog if we sat outside. The lady said it wouldn’t be a problem (YAY)! We got there and was immediately seated, she opened the umbrella, because it was dark n gloomy! Thank goodness for that, because it started to pour. We didn’t get wet tho!
Now onto the food…
Char Siu Bun - 2/5 - it was decent. Bun was soft and fluffy, meat wasn’t melt in your mouth, but it wasn’t horrible.
Takoyaki - 4/5 - breading was cooked and it was pretty delicious. Probably the best one I have had in Tulsa area so far. Only thing I would change is add a little more eel sauce/mayo on top.
Chicken Kara Age - 3/5 - good but very oily.
Char Siu Ramen - 2.5/5 - noodles were al dente, meat was dry, doesn’t melt in your mouth like it should be, broth lacked flavor.
Teriyaki Ton Ramen - 2.5/5 - noodles were al dente, meat wasn’t great, it was supposed to come spicy, but definitely did not taste the spice.
Shrimp Tempura Roll - 3/5 - it wasn’t the best I have had, but it wasn’t the worse either. The shrimp was crunchy and the flavor of the sauce was there.
Milk Tea - 4/5 - the tea flavor was very floral. I’m curious as to what kind of tea they use?!
I was surprised to find this little ramen place here in the rose district, the ramen was good and in generous serving, it was so much I had to take some home! Outstanding service as well, very friendly staff. Definitely coming more often!
Staff is friendly and really seem to take pride in good service. This is the perfect place for a nice lunch date. We did not try the sushi, but the menu was pretty and look forward to that next time. The ramen was tasty and the portions are huge! The decor is pretty. Main St has a lot of good options for good dining but Ippin holds its own with its great menu and reasonable prices.
