Taqueria la casita

I am an adventurous person when it comes to trying things. Mexican food in general I hold in high regard because I love the culture behind it. That said, I am very picky about where I get my Mexican/Tex-mex food. When it comes to food trucks though I'm even more picky. I judge my food based on location, taste and quality. The only food truck in Tulsa I've applauded thus far in the past was Taqueria Azteca off of 61st and Mingo. However I don't like traveling into Tulsa due to traffic anxiety. For years though I would eat from there but recently in the last couple years Broken Arrow has been graced with 3 trucks. There is one by the old go cart place, but I was not impressed with their taste. The second (Taqueria La Raza) is just a block east near the QT. And the third is this one (Taqueria La Casita). I'll abbreviate them as TLR & TLC. TLR was pretty good but the chorizo, in any form was kind of a squash.

TLC on the other hand was amazing. I've tried almost everything on the menu though and all the meats. Overall I recommend TLC for the following reasons.

1. Food is fresh tasting and full of flavor
2. The quality is amazing and portions are perfect.
3. The prices are decent.
4. They are close to home. (on Lynn Lane between 61st and 51st.)

Final thoughts: overall this is a great place to get classic street tacos and they have a large assortment of other items to choose from as well. The best thing about this place that puts it on my top list is that the meat, whether asada, chicken, chorizo, pork, etc, all the meats are never dry nor flavorless. I definitely recommend this place just for that reason alone.

The only con right now is that they only take cash as their CC machine is currently not working. But it's worth the cash withdrawal. Also, hoping for a discount taco night at some point or box option.

I got Huaraches. My wife and our son got tacos. Everything tasted great. I highly recommend!
