We had a great experience giving this a try for the first time. The seating areas are kinda small and I wouldn't bring a large party here. The seating is perfect, however, for just two people, and it's arranged nicely to make it not feel too crowded. We sat at the bar, and they had an excellent beer selection as well as a full bar setup. The food is amazing. The selection lives up to the name! The server at the bar area was on it and attentive. The traditional fried chicken was above standard, and the sides were really delicious and didn't have that fast food vibe you get in the little Styrofoam cups. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I like the atmosphere at Waldo's - it's a great place to watch a game with their large t.v.'s placed everywhere. The sweet tea was good. The food was not as good as I have had before. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry and crusty. Hard to boast about the chicken if it's not the main focus and delicious.

The food and service go hand in hand. If one fails they both fail. That's clearly not the case here. Our waitress "B" was excellent! And the food was delicious! My wife and I have been waiting to try this place. My wife walked into the restaurant two months ago, thinking they were open, and the joke was on her, the owner or staff explained they weren't open yet. Well momma had high hopes, and it was shot down, and two months later, I called her up while she was getting off from work, and asked her to meet me here to share a meal. It was awesome! Now we have three places that we trust will come through for our chicken and fixings. The sauces are made to flirt with your emotions, and their desserts are there to tuck you in bed. When we finished, we didn't reek of the idis, we reeked of home cooking food and customer love...

This place has some seriously good chicken! I had the tenders and hubby had a local special sandwich with a fried boneless thigh and pimiento cheese. From their big list of sauces, I chose the comeback sauce, Mayo based with a tiny kick, and Rooster, more of a Nashville style sweet and hot. For my side I added their coleslaw. It’s a sweet vinegar slaw. If you like that style, they make a good one. Next time I will choose the collard greens like hubby did. There has to be a grandma back in that kitchen! The greens were tender and had a smoky bacon taste.

The atmosphere supports sports with a dozen TVs. It also has a family dining type feel with mostly tables and chairs. But, hey, they have a full bar so I can make it work. Bea, in the bar, cared for us. She was friendly and knew the menu well.

Even if you are full, get a banana pudding to go. It is home style with a pudding layer and a whipped cream layer. Overall, it was a great experience and we plan to visit again soon.
