Black Bear Diner

First time to eat here. Ate here on the evening of 10/05/2019. Excellent food. Large portions, but more importantly (to me) the service was fantastic. The very nice manager/host told us about the restaurant and his favorite dishes while our table was being prepped. Our server, ask for Ish (short for Ishmael), was awesome. Very nice, attentive, answered all our questions. It’s nice to go to a new restaurant and have excellent service and excellent food. We’ll be back.

The food was absolutely phenomenal! However the wait was a little long. When we first arrived it seemed we were put on a waiting list but we were not. After being told 10 to 15 min as a wait to be seated about 30 min passed along with multiple families of 4 or more being seated before us. We were finally seated. Our waitress was on her game and other than the food was the highlight of our Black Bear Diner experience. We made out orders and some time had passed before our food made it to us, the employee who dropped off the food was not our waitress and seemed like she was familiar with putting food in front of animals kinda like she may have been zookeeper in a past life and/or past job experience. Once our waitress came back along we had made mention that the Black Bear Diner experience was not going as we had hoped. After a lengthy chit chat with the manager of the establishment everything was settled with smiles and handshakes. All in all we will be back because the food portions were amazing and the prices weren't horrible.

Went into the Tulsa location for dinner with my husband tonight. The place looked great, very clean. Our food was delicious and our server was amazing. The manager came by to say hello and ask how everything was (which was very appreciated). We will definitely be back!

Celebrating a birthday, and we had never been here. Everyone was pleased with their meal except me. I ordered the chicken fried steak expecting it was made there. What I got was a beef fritter from a box, and much smaller than pictured. We mentioned this to our waitress who promptly removed it from our ticket, so good job there! My wife had one of the breakfast combos, it was massive and good.

We got there about 11 AM and it was packed, waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Once we ordered it took about 30 minutes to get our food. When we left around 12:30 there were a lot of empty tables. This makes me think that the crowd comes for for the breakfast, and not so much for the lunch options.

Be prepared to spend about $10 - 15 per person depending on your choice of drink.
