So I ate the big burger, delicious...wanted to try the chicken and dressing that was on special. I'll be back ????if I'm even close...oh and the peach cobbler was tasty...

It was a catered event and the food was delicious. Nothing over seasoned, just down home cooking. We had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, mac n cheese, fresh rolls and lemon cake. The sweet tea was amongst the best sweet tea I've ever had! I'd definitely be a regular if I lived in T town. The only negative was the bathroom's were completely separate from the restaurant. You have to walk outside and down a few doors from the entrance. Otherwise it's an awesome place to grub ????????????

Evelyn's food is great. We had 4 piece mixed fried chicken dinners. Our sides were Mac n cheese, fried okra, cabbage, mashed potatoes with gravy, plus dinner rolls. All food was hot and fresh. Delicious flavors to everything.
Make a note, this is a family run business. Not a commercial franchise. Service will be slower, but the place was busy and everyone seemed pleased. Remember Evelyn's is only open till 3 pm. So cone early in the day and have lunch. Also not ooen on the weekends.
Only weird thing I noticed. After lunch I wanted to wash my hands, fried chicken, I asked the waitress where the bathroom was. She said, out the front door, make a right, go 5 doors down... I'm OK, but wait WHUT?
The quality food will keep coming back tho.

We had the best lunch at Evelyn's! Giant dinner rolls! I had pot roast that was very tender covered with dark gravy. Sweet yams & collard greens. Everything was seasoned to perfection. Our server was Evelyn's granddaughter Tina and she was just a delight to visit with. Others had fried catfish or chicken. Everyone agreed it was scrumptious!

The food here is the best I've ever tasted. Literally the best chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, and a roll. The service is slow very slow but the staff is friendly. The prices are high but worth it. It's an amazing lunch spot. There is no bathroom inside but still that's OK. And ask for strawberry lemonade it's delicious.
