Fixins Soul Kitchen

We went for the first time today and can’t believe we have never been before. The food was amazing and the kool aid drinks took me back to childhood. I had the fish sandwich with the Mac n cheese. Best Mac n cheese I have ever had at a restaurant! Trina was our server and she was so kind and welcoming. The atmosphere was so inviting!

We drove in from out of town and from all the options we specifically were looking forward to trying this place out and they did not disappoint! Everything the owner described it as, was accurate. I wish we had the time to try every cocktail. From the fried chicken and waffles, to the yams, Mac and cheese, biscuits, black eyed peas everything was DELICIOUS! Very reasonably priced as well! Sorry I didn't get any pictures of the cocktails or the waffles without my precious kids faces in them.

Gumbo has great flavor and the perfect amount of heat. Cornbread muffin was delicious along with the red beans and rice. Oh and that fried chicken was SOUL good! Oh and the sweet tea was perfect. Try the Adult Kool-Aid.

Just thinking about the smothered chicken and candied yams is making my mouth water. Our server Zee was not only super sweet but had so many fantastic recommendations for our group. I would ask for her again!.We went on the first Friday event downtown and everything came out perfect. Will be coming back again.

Had a delightful dining experience here! The classic chicken and waffles, okra, and gumbo were impressively flavorful and delicious. The Kool-Aid drinks added a fun twist. With wonderful service and ambience, it's a must-visit spot for a satisfying meal!
