Momo's Chophouse

Typically, when a server asks us to cut into or meat before we eat it, it sends us running for the hills! However, we were pleasantly surprised. The Tomahawk was brined perfectly, and the Red Snapper was the perfect spicey Cajun Dinner. The fresh oysters were sweet and savory. Watch your eyes as the ambiance is quite dark, and the menus are quite bright!

A nice attempt at fine dining in South Tulsa.

South Tulsa needs a fine restaurant, and I was excited to visit MoMo’s.

The atmosphere is beautiful, great furnishings , lights, and even the menus lit up. So far so good.

The staff and service were top notch, A+ all the way from hostess to check.

Unfortunately the menu and food just weren’t up to the task. The menu was limited, and the phrase we heard most was “sorry we are out of that.” I understand that kitchens run out from time to time, but this was too much.

The food we did receive was hit and miss. The crab cakes and roasted chicken were wonderful. The gumbo was thin, blonde, and short on spices. The flank steak was sinewy.

These shortcomings could be overlooked, but not for the price they charged. If I am going to pay over $100 per person, I expect fine dining. As it was, it was just fine.

I had the most amazing dining experience, and I'm not even a meat-eater! As a vegetarian, I ended up ordering Hail Caesar Salad.
The sides were equally outstanding. I tried mac & cheese, potatoes Romanoff, and sautéed mushrooms - cooked to perfection.
And their Creme Brulee was the taste of heaven!
The ambiance of Momo's Chophouse provided the ideal backdrop for this culinary adventure. The cozy, dimly lit atmosphere and attentive service added to the overall experience.
