Had a great dinner here this evening. The burnt ends are very good, and the baked beans really might be "The Best on the Planet" as they claim. The Grand Champion platter is great also, if you want to try a variety of different meats.
Great service from Alyssa and Larry, our very friendly servers. Will certainly be back often.
Oklahoma Joe’s is the best bbq restaurant in Tulsa! The smoked meat is great, and the fried okra is whole spears! Try it. You won’t regret it. The staff at the 61st street location is great, too. Shout out to Alyssa!
Great BBQ pulled pork is the best. Good atmosphere and good quality food. Good place for taking a business guest. Also the bar has a variety of drinks available and sports on the tv's. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. The overall experience was great clean friendly and welcoming!
Great place! Love it! Highly recommend it!
The food was fantastic, fairly quick, and perfectly portioned (if you enjoy leftovers). The staff was friendly, fun and polite. Our server Alyssa was super sweet and great with my wild child. Dining area and restrooms were very clean. Aside from all the great qualities, the staff and management were semi-unprofessional, somewhat scatter brained and unorganized. The YOUNG lady managing scorned a couple employees right in front of us while we were ordering, which I felt like was NOT okay. The restaurant was almost empty and a lot of the staff were standing around, granted it was an hour before close, (normal, not a big deal) but I had to go up and ask for our beers that we ordered. I thought maybe the restaurant hadn't been open very long and they were still working out logistics, but I was informed they had been open like 3 years. So that was really the only downside. Nothing major. Overall it was a great experience.
Finally! I have found a BBQ place I can go back to. The food was so good! Staff were friendly and the restaurant was clean and well taken care of.
When they call the beans "the best beans on the planet," they better be, and they did not disappoint! The okra is fried whole! So, if you're expecting the usual cut okra, that may throw you off. I liked the breading, just not the texture with the whole okra being used.
Everyone in my party was pleased with their food. We will be back to try more yummy things!
