The food was great. Good service. We were sat under a vent that condensation was dripping on me.
Pretty good place for Italian Food that isn't labeled mainly as a Pizzeria. They seemed fairly busy but we were seated quickly. The restaurant was pretty open so I didn't feel like I was going to be bumping into anyone seated at other tables around me. Our server was quite friendly and wasn't pushy however she did seem a bit rushed throughout the course of the meal. One thing I enjoyed was trying to find the toy soldiers hidden all over the restaurant and doodling on the paper mat on the tablecloth, which I thought it were easy ways to help pass the time.
I wound up ordering the Eggplant Parmesan. Honestly the best part was the Parmesan. The noodles and sauce didn't have any flavors that were distinguishable from the centerpiece of the meal. My S.O. got the Chicken Alfredo which they said had a good bit of flavor even though the chicken was a bit dry. The food came out swiftly and was hot all the way through. Afterwards I got the Bread Pudding (which is honestly why I went here in the first place), and it was simply delicious. The heat from the bread pudding was counteracted by the ice cream on top and the flavors of those items plus the sauce was the right amount of sweet that I couldn't think of anything else except how enjoyable it was. I genuinely felt that my money was well spent. I was able to feel comfortable the whole time and walked out feeling satisfied.
Benji did a great job. The cook could have done better with the steak it was ordered medium and (its heart was still beating) sent back twice then ended up overcooked. Other than that mishap, Pizza was great, spaghetti and meatball was great, and the Alfredo was great. I still give a 4 star because our waiter was outstanding.
We came to Zio’s near the end of June on a warm day. I picked this restaurant because of the delicious bread served with seasoning and olive oil. We arrived and were quickly seated. First impression after walking in was the stifling heat. It seems that the air conditioner has not been able to keep up with the Oklahoma summer. Food was good and service was reasonable. However, the overly warm environment made me think twice about getting a hot Italian dish. I would recommend this location only if this was the only option on a cool day.
The food here is all great, and they have a nice atmosphere. We initially were going to order online, but had a bit of trouble finding a specific dish to order online, so we had to call instead. Once we got our food, it was delicious. I recommend them for carry-out orders, or for a restaurant sit-down experience.
