This restaurant was so good we stopped here twice..once traveling into Portland from Michigan.. stopped for lunch and grabbed a couple of burgers..the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger was delicious..just the right amount of blue cheese and bacon plus a lot of tots to go with! We stopped again for dinner on our way to back to Ohio...we both ordered Ribeyes and they were also very yummy..Steak only has salt and pepper like the menu states which I can appreciate..great tasting and cooked perfectly. Sweet potato, steamed broccoli and side salad were also delish. Will definitely return when passing through again.
If you’re driving through Baker, Oregon and looking for a good meal, consider checking out Eagle Cap Grill, a family owned restaurant that is a local favorite. It’s a little off the main drag, so I didn’t know it existed until I googled restaurants in Baker and it came up as an option. The night I visited, the restaurant was pretty busy including several large groups who seemed to be celebrating special occasions. Even so, my service was excellent and I didn’t have too long of a wait for my food. I ordered a classic half pound cheeseburger with french fries. It was excellent! I like that this restaurant makes a point to serve high quality beef. I’ll be back!
We were looking for a steakhouse to have some steaks. The flat iron steak was incredibly tender and really good. And so was the prime rib. The vegetables were really yummy, cooked in real butter. Our drinks tasted good. Great flavor of the drinks. And to top off, a most yummy desert.
Nice little place. Looks high end on the outside but you go inside and it's not at all. Food was good. The only thing with the food is they brought my food in something called a trough.it was awful to try to eat out of. Will ask for it on a plate if we return to eat there.
What a great little hidden gem! The food was great comfort food. The service was outstanding. We will definitely stop there again when we are coming through Baker City!
The photo is a small bit of hash browns (not the frozen kind) and homemade sausage gravy with an egg mixed in. Looks ugly, tasted AMAZING!!
