Tavern on Kruse

Great food good service but parking can be a real challenge. Suggestion: park across the street, East of the restaurant, lots of parking available. The walk is about the same distance.

I enjoy dinner here; it was excellent! I had the tavern burger which has to be one of the best burgers in the area. Pleasant ambiance and they spaced out the tables well so you don't feel like you are sharing dinner with your neighbors.

We did not complain and give the staff a chance to fix the problems...that being said. The place did not seem overly busy and it felt like a long time between check ins and to order food. They took the drink orders fast. It took a long time to refill my water when it was empty which is a big deal for me. My friends food came out hot on the outside and cold on the inside she ordered the mac and cheese. I felt like the side of my dish was under seasoned and flavors were not balanced but the protien was over seasoned (salty). Another person at the table orders the same dish and agreed. We also agreed the protein was cooked great. The desserts were wonderful. Paying for a more high end meal we were not as pleased. If we go back will most likely order more simple like the roast dip sandwich but will most likely stay away from the more spendy dishes. The staff were nice and friendly. The drinks were also good.
