The Hive Social

I want to first mention that the staff was super nice! My 3 star review is for the experience I didn't get to have. My boyfriend and I waited an hour and 35 minutes for our food that never came. We had to eventually leave because we had things to do. I wish I could have tried the food! There were only a few tables in the restaurant, some sat after us, and they all had their food and it looked incredible. We were just told over and over that it would come out at some point and it never did.

We love The Hive Social! Local food, local people and a changing seasonal menu! Tables are appropriately spaced for the pandemic, and it gives an open, roomy feel! There is a bar area, private dining room and a grab-n-go café.

To us, it feels like a cross between the best of a Mediterranean cafe and the cozy Pacific Northwest, with local takes on hummus plates, local produce and creative local dish names! Not so Boring at all!

My family got brunch to go last weekend, and it was tasty experience. The staff was really friendly when I picked up my order, and the interior/ ambiance was very inviting. The biscuits and gravy was good with a flavorful gravy, but a dense biscuit. Their fried chicken sandwich was also good with a moist chicken and great bread. Pricy, but good portions.We will be eating there again soon.

This place is great! I love the food, friendly employees and atmosphere. I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was perfect, tender and juicy inside and crispy on the outside. The homemade whipped topping was so tasty perfect fall flavors! The waffles were great, soft in the inside and crisp on the outside! I couldn’t put my fork down! The service was great and all 4 of us got our meals at the same time. Cook to perfection and love! I will definitely come back and try lunch. Can’t wait for a dinner menu. Joe the head Chef knows his stuff. I love that they support locally grown foods in their menu.

I was privileged to be part of The Hive Social soft opening this morning. I had the delicious Sausage+Hazelnut Pesto Scramble pictured here. It had fingerling potatoes, Olympia Provisions sausage, plentiful pesto, seasonal vegetables and scrambled eggs. The favors were rich and the portion was right on. The service and atmosphere are top notch. In all ways The Hive Social is Covid safe. I'll be back soon.
