The Wayfarer Restaurant and Lounge

1st time at this fantastic restaurant. It came highly recommended and I can do the same. A very nice dining experience with courteous and helpful staff with a seafood centric menu. Great wine selections as well. I required assistance in navigating the menu due to food restrictions and Angelsea went above and beyond. Reservations are highly recommended and suggested. I had not requested a table with a view... the attached image is from our table - beautiful!

I have dined here twice. The ocean view can not be beat. The first time I had a burger. I ordered it medium well and it was perfectly executed. Today I had the Halibut Fish and Chips.... SO good! The best I have had in many years. The fish was fresh and the beer batter was delicious. The service is terrific as well. From the gentleman who filled our water glasses to our waiter, could not ask for more attentive and friendly service. I have been there during the "off" season, I am sure if you are wanting to dine during "peak" season you would be well served to make a reservation. I have not been in the bar yet but it looks very inviting: warm fire, leather seating.... I will say that I have enjoyed their Irish Coffee on both visits!

This place offers such a great dining experience. From the views of haystack rock to the delicious food items. You really can't go wrong with giving this place a try. The crab cake eggs Benedict are recommended. More to my liking when they are available are the salmon cake Benedict. Enjoy.

Had breakfast here on our way out of Cannon Beach. When we arrived, there were only a few other customers. We were seated promptly with waters but it was 10 minutes before any eye contact, let alone being greeted by our server. We asked the host/bus person for coffee since no one came to table. Shortly after , the server stopped by and took our order. It was another 5 minutes more before we got our coffee. Once our order was taken, the service vastly improved but given that it wasn't very busy, 15 min for coffee is rather long (and dangerous in the morning!) The biscuits and gravy was good- the rosemary potatoes different than typical fried potatoes/hash browns. The Sausage gravy was good- nothing out of the ordinary and lukewarm though. Prime Rib breakfast was really good. Coffee was above average but the booth views are big draw here.

Stopped in for a cocktail. Their bar has an awesome fireplace which made the experience cozy just like we wanted. They made a great old fashion and had some good local wine options. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are definitely on the higher side for drinks but the ambiance is worth it.
