Controversial Coffee

Fabulous little Seaside coffee shop run by an adorable couple! I ordered a soy latte and mango smoothie and both were great. I especially loved their tribute wall to musicians who have had an impact on the LGBTQ+ community and all of the local art. Making this my go-to coffee shop whenever I’m in the area!

Really love the vibes of this coffee shop! Lots of choices to customize the drink to your liking. Lavender Oat Milk Cold Brew was a good choice for me. Also love that it's a queer friendly space. Definitely worth a visit if you don't want bland corporate coffee.

I love this shop for coffee and gifts. The owner and crew are so friendly and genuine. I ordered a dirty chai latte and it was the best! The selection of art and gifts is very unique and fairly priced. Will visit here on every trip to Seaside!

We got two different pour over coffees and two delicious Lord of The Rings themed coffee concoctions! Would go back for any of them but the best part of the shop? The owners.

Brick and Logan made the experience worth it! Their joy and love for what they do is clear from start to finish.

I always go to Controversial Coffee when I’m in Seaside, they’re great here. The Sleepy Monk coffee is great, as are the breakfast sandwiches. Try the White Espresso, you won’t regret it. The collectibles, souvenirs, and art for sale are all very reasonably priced. Seems like I walk out with a new mug every time! Also they allow dogs inside and have treats. It’s a cool vibe for sure, check them out!
