Blue House Cafe

The staff are amazing and attentive. I had the Veggie Gyro. The ingredients were all fresh and the addition of avocado was a pleasant surprise. The dolmas were equally one of the best I've had. The best was pistachio baklava, amazing flavor. They also have a nice selection of winners to pair with your meal.

The Gyro platter is so good. Very nice people work there.

Delicious food and very friendly staff. We arrived near their closing time but they were gracious and accommodating to both a vegetarian (who had vegetarian gyros) and the meat eater who had the lamb. Both were over the top. Had an IPA that was great but my companion enjoyed her black current soda even more.

A great place to eat in general, but perhaps the best spot if you're biking the Banks-Vernonia trail. Very good food and the most attentive nice people working there. A really nice outdoor patio, a safe place to park a bike inside, and a great vibe. Definitely recommend and would eat there again if I ever were to go back.

I love this place! While it may seem pricey to those in Vernonia, due to the quality & portions served, one could easily pay 30% - 40% more for the same food in Portland or Seattle. In the many years that I have dined at the Blue House, the quality has always been above excellent. And for those of us who care about character and hard working people who add a little bit of heart (all heart!) into their work, the Blue House does that & more. It radiates wholesomeness and hospitality... just an exceptional family and cafe.
