Pop's Southern BBQ

So good. Their brisket chili is amazing!!

Crazy good, rivals any I have had in Texas!

We first discovered Pop's in December 2020 when they were still at Bunk n Brew and thought it was some of the best BBQ we'd had in Oregon.

In August 2021- While preparing to order wedding catering, my fiance and I ordered pork, brisket, and side dishes from Pop's, Baldy's, and Bigfoot to do a side-by-side Bend BBQ tasting. Pop's pulled pork, brisket, and sauces won by a LANDSLIDE! We decided to book our wedding catering with them.

Shannon was a good communicator throughout our booking and planning process, keeping us in the loop with updates while they moved locations twice. They were able to accommodate off-menu side dishes (and make great mac & cheese!) and the pork and brisket and beans and corn muffins traveled well the day of the wedding. The food was great- even my BBQ-picky Southern family was impressed. Their catering prices were very reasonable.

We hit one snag on the day of, the delivery truck got a flat tire on the way to our venue and the buffet started half an hour late. We made it work as relatively laid-back couple (we just served dessert first) but that may have upset a more sensitive/stressed-out wedding party. The employees they sent communicated the issue well and we were able to work around it. Things happen!

We look forward to seeing them again the next time we're up in Sisters!

Besides my own bbq pops is the only stuff i get around bend. I got the wings and a rib plate. The ribs were tender, well seasoned, and with sides of bbq sauces. The rib portions were plenty and I loved the homemade chips. Also love the wing rub they use, a sweet and savory rub with a mild smokey taste, one of my favorites.
