The resort fee at 17.5 % was jarring and left me feeling tricked. So hopefully now that you know, you can mentally adjust the room price and be prepared for that at checkout.

Now that that is out of the way... The location is wonderful. The water is not chlorinated and it is so cold and sweet right out of the tap.

The employees are welcoming and kind. If the weather is good, (we didn't get so lucky) the outdoor recreation opportunities are unparalleled in Oregon. The lodge restaurants have delicious food. Be sure to make reservations.

I come here every 2 years as part of a business getaway. The rooms are excellent, rustic looking with high ceilings with exposed beams. The facilities are great. Spa is beautiful. There's a banquet hall that is 2 stories and all old large growth. Golf is good I hear too. In general a rustic architecture with modern amenities all around.
