The Place To Bistro was a delightful find during our short stay in Roseburg, Oregon. We had time before our departure and were hungry for lunch. We are thankful we noticed this new little Roseburg restaurant/cafe tucked in next door to Dino's. I had a cup of delicious homemade soup made by the owner that morning. My child had a yummy deli turkey sandwich made to order. Both were delightful surprises. I asked my child what was the best part of his meal. "Everything" was his answer. Raine was our server. She is a kind and competent person with a cheerful attitude. She has lived in Roseburg the vast majority of her life and is a great source of information for travelers like ourselves. Highly recommend for coffee, breakfast, or lunch.
There is a cute, new place that serves coffee and a daily soup served in a cup or bowl. I am impressed by the portion sizes. I actually got a ceramic coffee cup for my pleasantly warm clam chowder. I bet the chowder was simmered a bit before being served because the warmth reminded me of home. I decided to ask and he told me that he does make it from scratch. I requested an Americano. They have a wide selection of creamers to choose from. I chose to drink my first cup black to enjoy the complex flavors of the coffee. The coffee is quality. I didn't need cream and sugar. Visiting the Place to Bistro has been a great experience.
