I've been going here since 1996 and I have mixed feelings now. However, it's gotten so expensive it's not on my breakfast spot list anymore. Last I was there we paid $32 for two toasted bagels with trimmings a coffee and a juice. The bagels are great! I will continue to buy them in the store, as I have done for years. They also sell day - olds at a discount if you get to the restaurant early enough.
Best beagle shop in Ashland! You won’t regret eating here! The owner is the nicest person and service is great. GET THE LOX BEAGLE SANDWICH!!!!!
Paid $3.75 for cream cheese that was so thin I could see the bagel through it. Didn’t notice til I got home or I would’ve asked for more. I understand times are hard h it if you’re gonna charge that much I expect some food for what I’m paying!
Had high expectations for this place, that was my fault, durring these times we all need to lower our expectations. Got a bad vibe as soon as I walked in. Prices seemed too high, bagels looked too small. After seeing the price of their lox and bagels ($8+) I decided to buy a 1/2 dozen to-go and make my own at home.
The best thing I can say and maybe the most important is that the bagels are real, good skin and chew, not some fake bread-like bagels. The everything bagels were nice even if most of the topping fell off when I cut them. 7 weeks of smoke here in Ashland has made me extra critical. Being the chimney of California is a real drag. I was going to give a 2 star review but that's just my raw emotions. We are all in this together as they keep telling us from their mansions and yachts so my honest impression is that they have real bagels here, prices are high like everywhere and we need to lower our expectations and give eachother a break.
I love their gluten free bagels. I had the veggie with hummus and my husband had the same with a regular bagel. We were both impressed with their food, service, and covid procedures.
