One of the people in our party loves pubs and really wanted to check this out for lunch. The pub is very large and has all kinds of memorabilia all over the walls. It's a really cool pub! The food was amazing! I ordered a cheese burger and it was delicious! Others in our party ordered the fish and chips, beef pasties, bangers and mash, and a fish bento bowl. Everything was delicious! A little bit on the pricey side, but well worth it! Our server was the only one working the entire pub, probably because it was late afternoon. He was earning his pay! Service was great and it didn't take long to get our food. Worth a visit if you find yourself in Ashland,, OR!
The service was nice, not a fan of the highly rated Shepard's Pie, the meat or the veggie version. I like more veg and actual lamb in my pie...just my taste, don't kn9w what the "authentic" pie should be like. OK, didn't hate it, didn't love it. Since this is the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebration, it would have been cool for them to acknowledge it in some way. Drink special maybe? The Scotch Egg was good!
Pretty sweet pub. I enjoyed my tofu burger. The only salad dressing choices are blue cheese and vinegrette and I don't enjoy either.
We had a great experience on karaoke night. The owner took the time to come out and talk to the tables. Their prices are very reasonable. It was nice to go to a place in Ashland where the prices aren't outrageous for drinks. They were short staffed but everyone was in great spirits. Staff was very friendly and doing a great job. I will definitely be returning.
