I would have said 3.5 if there was an option. That being said, we had dinner by the bar. Bar staff were excelent ad friendly. Armosphere was good. Food was good. The beer was good too. This is German food only it appears. I wish I had more to say.
It was nice to see they have corrected the error in their ways from last year and gone back to being a German restaurant vs whatever they were trying to do during covid. The food was as good as it always was and the beer was plentiful and cold. Schnitzel was extremely good and I will be back to my haunt regularly now!
I loved the look of this place immediately. Can definitely be worth 5 stars, but we didn't eat here, so rating is based on drinks and decor only. The servers are all dressed in German gear, which I loved! The bar was already full and getting louder the longer we stayed. My friend commented on this being the place to check out for Oktoberfest, and I agree!!
He ordered a beer, which he really liked. I ordered the mule, which is one of the best mules I have had. Appreciate the fact that they add extra ginger on top of ginger beer. We shared a pretzel with cheesy sauce. It's more his palate than mine, but I enjoyed the few pieces I tasted.
It's beautifully arranged. Love the bookstand against the wall, the pictures, the lighting etc. Unfortunate that we had already eaten before we got here.
The Schoolhaus Brewhaus is a great place for dining with kids. The grounds are impressive and keep getting nicer every time I visit. Wednesday are really fun with great dinner specials. The putt putt course is fun and challenging. They also have a huge field for kids to run around on.
Heard a lot about this place and decided we had better check it out because we do love German cuisine and Beer. Got there was pleased to see how nice it looked at night all lit up. 6:30 pm Had about a 30 min wait and was directed to the Bar. Had a Hefeweizen and a Pilsner. Pilsner was great as well as the Hef. Ordered The Spicy and regular bratwurst and the Fish and chips which had a price listing as seasonal. We were told it was Halibut, now we’ve had some amazing F&C’s with Thick juicy Halibut Chunks and at that price point of $13 I should have backed up but it’s Oregon fresh Halibut right? They were no bueno. Seemingly caught fresh from the Freezer, it was made right by our server and desert was free. I loved my Bratwurst but they could have been a bit more juicy but oh well. I will go back and try some other dishes. The appetizers we ordered were the Cabbage Rolls. They were bland and more gravy than meat I’m afraid. We may just hit the sampler tray next time sans those. The Pretzel was Bomb but the Bechamel’ish Dip didn’t do it for me. Nacho cheese or mustard would have done it though. All in all well go back to try the other food and make a final decision to go for beers or Dinner. Thanks to our server she was awesome!! Go check it out for yourself see what you think.
