Beautiful space to host an event

Former member with mixed feelings. We (a 50+ couple) joined as social members in September 2019, primarily for the fitness club and dining (they also had an outdoor pool and tennis/pickleball at the time, and offered four membership options for non-golfers). Since then, they’ve invested in new amenities such as basketball courts, sand volleyball, batting cages, and mini-golf to appeal to a broader demographic. Probably smart, but nothing that we as a couple with no kids or grandkids were likely to use. They also collapsed the various social membership bundles into just one option.

Starting in 2020, social members were hit with four consecutive years of double-digit percentage dues increases (all golf memberships are capped at 5% per the bylaws). After the third increase of nearly 35% in 2022, we submitted comments and suggestions to the Board and management on ways to broaden the social membership dues structure to offer multiple categories, like the golf memberships, instead of just a “one-size fits all” option. Received no acknowledgement, not even a cursory “thank you, we’ll take it under advisement”, just a (nearly identical) letter this year about why the dues needed to be increased again (this time, by ~25%).

So we recently left, a little disappointed with our overall experience. The fitness center is fine – adequate equipment and never too crowded – and the dining was generally solid (some excellent experiences, but also some lapses in food quality and service). For golfers or a family with kids, this may be a good investment, but for us, the value was no longer there. Golf members are obviously the most highly prized, and our take is that social members are viewed as easily replaceable and are not really valued.

Beautiful setting, tasty meal, for a good cause, supporting court appointed special advocates for children who've been abused.

We've been to two fund raising events held at this country club, and enjoyed the facility a lot. It's clean, staff are very friendly, and there is a lot of space. The elevator was handy too, for getting photo gear rolled up to the 2nd floor. The first year we were outdoor, and this year 2022 indoor.

Beautiful pool. Has two showers and separate changing area. Lots of tables with shade umbrellas and a large section of lounge chairs for those who would like to tan. There is even a fenced sprinkler area for toddlers and wobblers. Mini bar with drinks where you can order lunch or snacks, has popsicles for the children. They provide cups and complementary water as well as lemonade. Multiple life guards felt very friendly and safe.
