Chalet Restaurant

A friend and I were on a road trip last week, and came upon The Chalet after visiting Crater Lake the evening of 7-1-22. Inside the establishment is very cool & old school. Our server was awesome, checked on us often, & kept my coffee topped off.
I had a salad & the homemade clam chowder, which was, I dare say, the best clam chowder I've had in a very, very long time! My friend had the chicken fried steak, & he said that it was excellent. If you're in the area, definitely give The Chalet a try

Been coming here for years. Great location with truck parking. Hope they stick around for 20 more years. Great food, great soups... and even if you're on a low carb diet you can find good food.

Chelsea the waitress was very friendly and efficient. Phil was on the grill he's from the Mill. ( I read that on a wooden plaque. ) Phil made me a delicious Reuben sandwich,oh, and I had a Budweiser. Phil came out and we had a nice chat about the history of the building etc.It was the perfect stop for a respite on my trip to Klamath Falls from Vancouver. I will do it again. I will have to visit a few more times to see if it will get the coveted 5th star.

Five stars. You wouldn't think that the best omelet I have ever had came from a road side diner in the middle of Eastern Oregon, but it did! Surprisingly great food, the waitress was amazing & made me feel like old school family & the prices were completely reasonable. Thanks for the stopping point, we will be back again.
