Great little restaurant to stop in at if your going to Detroit Lake. The staff is friendly and the portions are large enough it’s easy to split a meal and still feel stuffed. The lounge in the back has a bunch of cool old beer signs. Bathrooms do need better hand towels not the reusable ones
Stop for lunch at cedars restaurant as we stopped at Detroit Lake. The restaurant is really divided into a diner type setting and a log cabin bar. it's a good option for either a family stop or stopping for more of a tavern type lunch. Leon was our bartender server and they did great. If we chat their jalapeno burger and would definitely have it along with their thick cut fries again. You can tell this is a local hunt I added a photo of the pictures before you go into the restroom. they gave me a chuckle and new this was a place that people frequented often that live nearby.
Been coming here for years, if you want a huge hearty breakfast in Detroit Lake, this is the place to be, the chicken fried steak gets an extra plate. Service was fast and delightful.
Walked over here in the morning from the motel across the street. Good vibes. Friendly, down-to-earth people. The food was pretty good. I'd recommend the huevos rancheros. *Thumbs up* to the funny quip on their signage. Whoever came up with that is a genius.
open early. the food was decent and prices were mid ranged, which is great in such a remote city.
the only minor downside was the wait. we were one of three tables and the food took just over an hour.
