Our food was not great. The mashed potatoes and gravy and the vegetables were both very bland and the cornbread was too dry to eat. The service was good and the food came quickly and was hot. Too bad most of it got left on the plate.

This restaurant is almost too good to be true. A great place for family gatherings and to converse with loved ones. The biscuits are home made, as well as the enticing blackberry jam. I don’t like blackberry's, but that jam put me in a good mood. The scrambled eggs were light and delicate, and was the best ones I have ever had. So why only a four star? Well, the steak. Mine was ordered medium well, and I received a very bloody steak. I only wanted a little pink. My fathers however, was ordered medium. Half way was dry as concrete, and the other was like a dead animal carcass. However, the delightful sides and great service saved itself from getting a 1 star. The atmosphere is so welcoming.
