Hot and Sour soup is top notch. The battered and fried sweet and about pork was not incredible (would not order again) but the pork fried rice and General Tsao's Chicken were tasty. Nice service, quick. Great portions. Would return.
We read about Chen’s Family Dish in the newspaper and decided to give it a try based on reviews. We were not disappointed. We both had combination lunches and they were great. Everything was fresh, service was spot on & the restaurant was very clean. They bring egg flower soup as a starter & it was chocked full of flavor. We will definitely return
From the atmosphere, the service, to the food = amazing. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a warm smile and promptly seated. My water glass was kept refreshed and everything was very clean too! I ordered some tea and it came in this cute tea kettle with cute little cups. The music playing was relaxing. The food was well prepared and very generously portioned. I had a great experience eating here and will definitely be back!
When we first moved out to Oregon in February of this year, we had Chen’s delivered to our place, and it turned out to be really good! So we decided to go eat at their restaurant and now it’s our go to spot for Chinese! The food and customer service is amazing! And it’s always very clean in the restaurant! 10/10 would recommend eating here!
This is the BEST Chinese food I've had in Salem. Even in Oregon, if I'm being honest.
Their menu is sorted by style of dish, rather than by meat base, which is really nice to see. They do charge for tea, but it is only $2 and it's a specialty tea, which makes it more than worth it.
The servers are very friendly and attentive, and gave us as much time as we wanted to order and to pay, they didn't rush us in the slightest.
I was surprised to see such a gem tucked away, and have decided that this is my new go-to restaurant for Chinese, and for date nights. Very clean, nice, it felt fancy without being too fancy to go to in casual clothing, and it seems like the perfect place to bring a first date.
