Geppetto's Italian Restaurant

Last night I decided to order Geppetto’s for dinner through delivery since I have always been a fan of their pizza. After receiving it and noticing that the experience was not up to par with their usual amazing quality, I decided to call in and explain what had happened. It’s always scary to call in to give feedback as some people don’t respond well, however my experience was incredible and I want to thank Geppetto’s for an incredible follow through!

I spoke with both the husband and wife owners and was pleasantly surprised with their response. I calmly explained some of the issues with my order and I was told a few things:

1. We are so sorry this happened and thank you for calling in because we would not know otherwise. We take this as an opportunity to do better next time.

2. How can we make this right?

Key factors in running a successful business with return customers! Julie (one of the owners) offered to replace my entire meal ($34 + tip worth) whenever I wanted it, and said she would inform her staff to make sure that they redo my order correctly and make it right the next time.

Businesses and restaurants are going to make mistakes. No entity is perfect. However, the way you handle your mistakes says a lot about you and the way you run it. I am a very happy customer who will rave about the service I have received. Thank you Geppetto’s for making it right and being so kind in the process. You will always have my business!

Good food and service! I had a side of Sicilian meatballs with my pasta. It was delicious! Homemade tortellini soup was great, along with the breadsticks baked on site. We added dessert because who can turn down chocolate chip cookie and ice cream. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming feel. We were visiting Salem and happy to have found this excellent understated restaurant with high quality food. If I lived in Salem we would frequent this place regularly. Good job to the new owners!!

I've been hearing good things about Geppetto's and finally got the opportunity to visit. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and timely. We sat in the bar because the dining room was full. Not going to complain about that. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommended.
