La Hacienda Real Lancaster

I grew up in southern California and good Mexican food is very important to me. It's been hard finding a good Mexican restaurant in Oregon, but this place is fantastic. We had enchiladas and fajitas. Both the flour and corn tortillas were homemade. I love the decor and the service is excellent.

As always the food and service was amazing. I have never been disappointed. When I was pregnant I wanted to eat nothing but their cheese enchiladas. They were kind about my constant requests for extra enchilada sauce. Even added it a few times when I forgot to ask. They have earned a loyal customer in my family and I.

Great place for good Mexican fare. Had a great server who took real good care of us. We had the combo Fajitas with jalapeno poppers for an appetizer. The food was good not great is the reason for the four stars. La Hacienda on Commercial is a better choice in my opinion as the food there is more flavorful. Great homemade tortillas if you like corn tortillas.

I waited quite a while before someone came to the front to seat me. I said that I already knew what I wanted and the lady said that she would send someone to get my order immediately. Again, I had to wait. When the young lady came to the table she had a big smile and was very polite and attentive. She took my order, and inquired if I needed anything else. When my food arrived it was not very hot. The enchilada sauce was different than at the other locations. My server came to check on me and refilled my water without being asked. The restaurant was very clean including the restrooms. The staff was very friendly. I will return.

Of all La Haciendas in Salem, this one is the best. The friendly and attentive staff have been the same for years and "know your name". Food is authentic Mexican. Can ask for substitutions on most meals with small charge. If you want a hotter, spicier salsa ask for the tomatillo spicy salsa which is not the regular salsa they bring with the chips. Also, the restaurant is spacious so you don't feel cramped.
