Chipotle Mexican Grill

I used to be a big fan of chipotle. My enthusiasm has toned down since there food issues when I lived in the Pacific Northwest. To my knowledge, the root cause was not identified. But I’ve sporadically eaten here now that I’ve moved to the Destin area.

It’s very quick and simple ordering process and food is average quality and decent value usually. My most recent two trips though have me thinking otherwise. The chicken feels like it still has brittle cartilage on it and is not totally edible. It has also been more fatty than usual. I’m not sure if they are supposed to trim it a little bit more or if it’s just a bad batch they’ve been getting, or a cheaper cost cutting move? Anyway three stars is to me an average review, so I’m not totally discrediting them for the great work they do but I don’t like leaving chunks of partially chewed chicken on my plate that I’ve paid for which are not able to be eaten. It’s not a pleasant site to eat with someone and having them remove food from their mouth. If I’m eating alone, it’s not as embarrassing and unsightly. That’s very unappetizing to me though as a consumer. I’m not pleased about buying a bowl to eat beans, rice and lettuce. The chicken is the big draw for me.

If I go back, I might try the beef. The pork looked very fatty as well.

I love chipotle, however this was the slowest chipotle I've ever been in. 6 people behind the counter, I was the only one in the place and had to wait 10min until someone acknowledged me

Rodrigo is the best.. did the best quesadilla for my daughter .. patiently answering all questions we had and then made a wonderful veggie bowl. If his manager sees this review he needs to award best customer service award to Rodrigo!! Thanks my friend. Kudos to you from our family!!!

This location had nice staff and fresh food. The restaurant was also clean and had many seating options (inside or outside on the patio). We would come here again when we're in the area.
