We had the mole and chilequiles verde. Both dishes were well balanced and delicious. The Verde sauce was tangy and perfectly spiced. The runny refried pinto beans are the best I've ever tasted. The mole had deep notes of anise and bitter chocolate that paired well with the fall off the bone drumstick. Homemade tortillas were also well executed. I highly recommend!
Very unique experience. It was my first time trying huitlacoche (corn smut) and it did look weird but it was very good, with a sweet yet savory earthy taste. Service was fast but not as attentive as other traditional diners or restaurants but hey, the place was packed for a reason: authentic Mexican food.
Prices are reasonable, food is authentic, and staff is very friendly. The tortillas are handmade, a must for a menudo/pancita. They are only lacking spicy/hot salsas.
Authentic food and atmosphere. Walking in the door was like walking into Mexico and the food had that high quality home cooked unique feel about it. Very well priced and delicious I will be coming back.
Great food and service. On Sundays are busy busy still worth the wait. I recommend their mole or enchiladas Rojas.
