Captain's Galley Fish and Chips

I had the Fish and fries with a clam chowder. It's was really good. The owner was a commercial fisherman and is bringing all his contacts to bring us fresh fish. The Clam chowder was really good. They have a crab cook pot out front and can boil 100 crab at a time. Can't wait to try the razor clams. Great job, it's a must try, you won't be disappointed.????

Okay...I have been driving by this place 2 to 3 times per day....and had to stop. Was greeted by "The Captain" and his daughter. I ordered the Cod, Fries and Clam Chowder....Sat down at the little table...they turned on the heater for me. The chowder came up first...and it was awesome...and in a flash, my platter was ready and hot. I really can not believe the quality of food I was eating. The 3 pieces of COD were lightly battered and had that perfect crunch....and the inside moist and fresh. Fries were perfect. It came with Coleslaw, an incredible tarter sauce, and some fry sauce that reminded me of the fry sauce you used to get from Arctic Circle...(YUM). I was blown away. And for $9 bucks...WOW. (For the Platter) I have to bring my wife now.

Tried this for the first time today. The service great and everyone was very friendly. As a first time, the menu options were explained to me. Got the platter with cod and double shrimp. This food was absolutely AMAZING!!! Everything was seasoned to perfection. I will be back many many many times.

Man oh man does this place make some good food for the price! I happened to be walking by and it smelled so good I just had to try it. It was quick and fun with a nice community feel. I would recommend especially if you like fish!

Picked up a menu to go with a cup of Delicious Clam Chowder, the very nice girls were very happy and seemed to really like this new location. I ordered a cup of clam chowder to go as i was on my way and wanted to see if anyone else would want some fish and chips or what have you...

I noticed the owner updates online for and closed days and so forth, that truly is nice to see.

Hopefully I will get to meet the owner next time, we spoke on the phone once when she was closed and there cleaning and preparing for the next day.

I always appreciate any and all prep and cleaning, yes cleaning is good, always....

I think this is a great addition to downtown Gresham as I dont think there are too many places offering this type of real traditional seafood and chowder.
