Bún Bò Huế Restaurant

You know you're about to experience authentic vietnamese food when you come in and the smell of soup and fish sauce take over your sense. The bun bo hue is well flavored and the condiments compliment to soup really well. Advice: be patient with the service.

I'm 100% fine with hole in the wall restaurants and spicy soup filled with offal. This place was just okay.

The bun bo hue broth was on the sweet side. I asked for extra fish sauce and chilies because it wasn't spicy or strong enough.

They did the white person check to make sure we wanted it spicy and "with everything." We didn't get any blood so I'm not sure if they didn't have blood or didn't trust us that we wanted everything. I personally like lots of blood and offal in mine. The tendon and skin pieces were too thin for my liking.

At $12 a bowl, I would have liked more flavor and offal. The herb plate was decent though.

Mediocre place for Vietnamese cuisine. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pho was not the best, but I was really impressed with the garlic noodles. It was not overly oily and was quite delicious. If you come here, order the garlic noodles.

Great food. I live right by this place and so happy to have it. Dining is pretty small but the Bun bo hue is excellent! I have tried many places around SE Portland and gotta say this one makes it the best.

Was in town for a business meeting and looking for authentic Vietnamese food. This was the perfect find. I had the Bun Bo Hue with the blood cubes and pork knuckles and other meats. I got the spice on the side and added it to get the perfect spice level. The service was fast and the food delicious. I will visit again the next time I am in the area. I highly recommend for those that love authentic Vietnamese food.
