Campana

Fantastic pasta creations, absolutely decadent food and excellently paired libations.

Campana is a lovely little experiment by the owners and chef of the Grand Army Tavern. Its small menu revolves around a few salads, appetizers, pasta, and meats, which change with some frequency based on seasonal ingredients and the chef's interests.

My wife and I both got the "pasta dinner," which includes a salad, pasta, and dessert. The Caesar salads were superb, and my raviolini stuffed with braised beef cheeks in a killer tomato sauce made me want to hug the chef. I don't know what was in that sauce, but I'd do dirty things to find out the secret of its deliciousness. Coupling thoughtfully crafted food with a classic cocktail menu...I'm sold on my new favorite go-to Italian restaurant in NE Portland.

Campana is a yet-to-be discovered gem. Go there.

Having dinner here for the first time tonight. Though a bit of a small place, it was a nice and cozy setting. The staff was very friendly and helpful! She give such great service!! We were very impressed with every thing we ordered. Every dish was amazingly delicious! Very tasty! Very flavorful! Our dessert was Ricotta Cheesecake with Fig Jam and pistachio. It was truly to-die for! So good!! ???????????? We will definitely be back very soon!!
