Went to Portland Blues Festival and this place was recommended by the hotel staff. As it was 4th of July weekend and most other restaurants were closed, they were slightly busy. We offered to share a table for four with another couple so we got seated fairly quickly. Highly recommend. Will be going back to them every time we are in Portland.
This is our go-to Chinese restaurant. I make a point of trying something different every time and I'm never disappointed. Obviously, the soup dumplings are amazing and another favorite was the beef in spicy chili oil. Whether you dine in (put your name in on Yelp in advance, as they're always busy) or take out, you cannot go wrong.
Very nice well executed making of Chinese classics and unique dishes! The aroma, taste and texture all create a perfect bite and experience. If crowded, business still seems to go fast, even in dinner service! The chicken is hot but tasty, fish is on point, and doesn't taste so seafood like for those first time enthusiasts out there. The buns are also very delicious filled with hot broth. The appetizers like the tripe are very flavorful and textured perfectly. The servings of rice are also pretty good. Staff is also excellent and on point. Reccomend this!
We came here with some friends during the SNOWMAGEDON of 2019 - where there was no actual snow on the ground.
At 11 am, we were lucky to get in super quick. The place seats a large number of people and has a couple round tables for larger groups in the back. We had a group of 9 so we went right to the back and with the kiddos it was a good thing!
Orders were out quick and everything was great! We ended up with 4 orders of the soup dumplings (9 per order) and that was perfect! The little guys loved them as did the adults! They’re perfectly bite size and were excellent. We shared an order of green beans, chow fun noodles, egg drop soup and some hot & sour cabbage. All was excellent with the surprise winner being the cabbage! It was recommended by our server and was pretty unreal! Just a bit of spice and some great flavor made this something we’ll get anytime we come back.
A wonderful way to ring in the Chinese New Year or any weekend for that matter!
Very good service. Authentic food.
We came for roasted duck and then found they don’t have it (I guess they used to have it since there are pictures on yelp & google and they named “duck house”). Anyways, it was disappointing. Then we ordered something else - beef in hot soup, veggies and fried rice noodle. They are surprisingly good! Especially the beef in hot soup, delicious!
