Escape From New York Pizza

I’m a New Yorker. This pizza was okay but if this is the best pizza in Portland, I’m disappointed. The crust wasn’t thin. And the pizza wasn’t crispy/crunchy. The slices were huge which was great since I was starving.

I love this pizza! I grew up eat escape pizza. I'm 38 and for all my birthdays this is the dinner i ate and continue to eat. Best pizza in Portland hands down! Escape is amazeballs!????????

A New York Style Pizza Shop located in a Portland downtown street corner, that's not something you see all the time. I really enjoyed the style and atmosphere of this remarkable food joint. I have a particular interest in New York Style Pizza over any other. The Title "Escape from New York Pizza is very eye-catching and has captured the attention of many who have walked or driven on Ave 23rd. The time I will return to Portland is unknown, but the day I return, I will not leave without a stop for some delicious New York Pizza.

Lots of history, patina, and character as well as out of this world pizza. They have mastered the all important crust and with one bite you'll know you've just had one of the best slices ever. The toppings are tasty, but that crust is so perfect. The staff is uber cool and you can tell they know they're part of something special. Can't recommend them enough.

Good pizza. Great, homey, comfortable atmosphere. Good music. Outside seating and bar stools to sit at inside. Can see where they are cooking pizza through window. Definitely would go back
