Hot Dog Energy

The Junkyard Dog...thought I'd have to wrestle with it, but turns out, it laid me out! Wrapped in bacon and topped with chili, cheese, peppers, onions, jalapeno, mustard, and the tasty Energy Sauce...fantastic! Congrats again, Lucas, and thanks for an awesome lunch!

Most people would say they like hot dogs. Some would say they're obsessed. Both types of would be very welcome in what can only be described as the best dogs in Portland. Every menu item is fantastic, even those that may appear a bit out there (peanut butter and bananas on a dog?! Yes! More please!). The weekly specials have also been worth the trip. So pull up a seat on the street side picnic tables, crack open a Doc Browns, and enjoy whatever variety dog suits your fancy.

Just started renting space for my law firm around the corner. I was pleased to see this place while strolling the neighborhood and even more pleased to see all the vegan option. The vegan corn dog and potato salad made my day. The customer service was top notch! Thanks!!! I’ll definitely be back!

Truly authentic dogs clearly made by people who care about the dish. The various dogs are all made with excellent local ingredients, and each has something unique to bring to the table. The eponymous Hot Dog Energy is a killer dish, as is the Paul Reuben, but I gotta try everything on the menu! The option to make anything a bacon-wrapped “greasy wiener” also rules.
