Hound Dog BBQ

I had the tri tip, mac and cheese, and cornbread. The tri tip and cornbread were really good, and the mac and cheese was good as well. The two issues that will prevent me from going back are the quantity of meat for the price, and the wait. I was the only one there, and it took about 15-20 minutes to get my food (which is too long for a food truck without a line). The quantity of meat is shown in comparison to the ramekins in the picture. I so badly wanted to love this place because we don't have many quick lunch options, but sadly that did not happen.

Found myself in a position of unexpectedly hosting a birthday party and needing a massive amount of barbecue by noon the next day. Stopped by the cart as it was the closest and most convenient option, explained my scenario, and the guy put together a sample plate for me of all the different meat options. All were great, but we chose the brisket, the smoked chicken, and the ribs as our favorites.

Not only did they put together a huge order so I could pick it up early the next day, but the serving size was larger than expected and I heard from various guests that the brisket and the chicken were the best they'd ever had. Looking forward to going back... although it's going to be awhile before my body fully digests yesterday's success.

The tri-tip was amazing!! So tender and smoked perfectly! We had 3 kinds of meat, mac-n-cheese, the best cornbread ever, and salad. Everything was delicious. We brought Hound Dog BBQ in for our team to celebrate our boss's 25th work anniversary, lunch was a success!

I had the 2 meat combo delivered from grub hub, and it was delicious! Meat perfectly cooked with just the right amount of delicate and flavorful sauces. Every detail was perfectly executed, from the biscuit to the slaw. Don't miss the jalepeno mac either!
