Food and experience was fantastic. For a Saturday night the restaurant was understaffed and Josh our server had an attitude. I question the cleanliness of the restaurant and how often they clean the fabrics and carpets. Overall good food great experience but they need to up the game of the cleanliness.

The dinner was a full course including salad, soup, appetizer, main dish, dessert and sweet tea. The service guy said the belly dancer started at 6 pm. But because we sat downstairs, the performance started at almost 7 pm. The food was ok. The meat was very dry. The chicken was sweet, and the lamb was very spicy. It was a fun experience to try Moroccan food, but we will not return.

Went to Marrakesh in Portland. Love this place. They have a 4 course meal for 2 that's really good. I love lamb so the meal was fantastic. Best lamb I've had in America. The tram stop right across the street from the restaurant. The Morrocan decorations inside sets the tone, the music adds to the vibe and the food is awesome. What more could you ask? Go!

Great experience. And I mean experience because it's definitely more than just a meal. Efficient service by an informative server. Amazing food. Ambiance is wonderful- the music, the decor, the seating, the belly dancers. All of it was just perfect. Thanks for an awesome evening, we will def be back!

This is more of an experience than a place for great food.

Let me lay it out: the seating is uncomfortable, I’m 6’2” and the seating is on firm legless stools under short tables. My legs fell asleep quickly so I had to keep shifting just to keep blood flow. I get that they’re trying to make for an authentic experience but pillows on the ground might work better.

The manager, or host (I assume) was wearing a modern t-shirt with a record player graphic and jeans but the servers were all in “traditional” costumes. Kind of killed the vibe.

The food is served in courses. The first two come without utensils, unless requested. They are the best part of the meal. They supply unlimited bread to eat with.

The main course is then served while the belly dancer moves through the room (she was great and personable getting people to interact with her, tips are not asked for but clearly appreciated)

The food was okay, not something I’d run back for. Honestly, nothing about this place would make me return. It was a fun night out for something different but didn’t leave me with the special touch of a place I’d make a regular spot.
