Friendly service! Our friends love their food. For us, it was fine. Homemade chips and pico! We had wet burritos. The portions were huge, but mine seemed to lack meat. There was also an unidentifiable odd taste. Not a bad taste, but just an odd taste I couldn’t place. Also very salty. We may give it another try.
Had wet burrito with green salsa and fish tacos and both were really amazing, fish tasted fresh and the combination in the taco was perfect.
Price is great for what you get, generous amount of food and great taste.
This place has became my favorite taco truck in Portland.
Highly recommend this place and will go back to visit it!
------Update on 1/31 2020:
Went there the second time and got Grilled chicken street tacos and those are the best chicken tacos I have ever had! A MUST TRY!
BEST FOOD FOR MILES. I love this food cart. They are always so kind and so quick and the food is way better than any restaurant around. If you want affordable quality food that's quick , this is your go to! (•‿•)
Street taco plate was great. Will be back to try other stuff.
I just went here today for lunch and I can see what all the fuss is about.
I've tried to go here twice already but they were closed, so I finally got out here today. I'm taking some classes nearby and it was a bit of a walk, but worth it. Ordered a Wed. Special (2 enchiladas w/ rice and beans), which was not advertised except online, and a Bavarian cream filled churro. The special was $4.00 and the Churro was $1.50 so hard to beat for the price.
There were perhaps half a dozen other people hanging around and it did take a couple minutes to get my food, but that's pretty understandable given that the cart itself is the size of a shoebox. When I did get my food, I was pleasantly surprised with the portion size. It was quite generous (see pics).
The enchiladas were tender, the sauce was great, and they had just the right amount of cheese. It was obvious that both the beans and rice were home made, and the tomatillo salsa provided was very good to. The Bavarian cream churro? PERFECTION. Warm custard, crispy pastry, and cinnamon sugar all rolled together. Very good, if a bit smaller than I would have liked for the price. Also saw their carne asada fries - massive and incredible.
So is the food earth-shattering? No, but it is really solid, relatively authentic Mexican food at a great price. Highly recommended if you get a chance to stop by!
