This is Mario World sushi! Big sushi at decent prices. It's usually a long wait so either arrive right when they open or be prepared to wait a while. But if you make it through the wait, the sushi is always good.
The wait was excruciatingly long but this place is a bang for your buck. The portions are gigantic. If you think you have a big stomach this place will fill you up within the first plate. The sashimi is thick and very yummy. The rolls are beautifully plated. And the sushi is very expensive overall but in general this place is amazing. Expect to leave a tip
I've been coming here for years, every chance I get. I've since taken to looking for other sushi houses that can compare, but alas, Saburos is simply the best sushi in town.
At the risk of totally screwing myself in the future, the salmon belly here is completely bonkers. Each piece is probably 2 oz, and is almost always the perfect texture and very rich in flavor. I get like 5 orders and take what I don't eat home for breakfast the next day.
The only downsides here are that it's not 100% consistent (the spicy tuna is sometimes MUCH spicier than others, for example) and having to get in line a half hour before opening to get a seat is a little annoying.
So please don't go here, and don't spread the word, I dont want to have to wait am hour (because I would).
Oh my gosh. Let me preface this by saying that I love sushi and have been to a lot of different sushi restaurants of varying style, cost, pretension, etc. I haven't tried many in this area, but hands down this is the best sushi I have ever had. Not only does it taste AMAZING, the portions are incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is very popular, however, so be sure to get on the wait list on Yelp or arrive early. But it is totally worth it.
By far the best sushi restaurant I have been to. The wait can sometimes be a bit long, but once you are in and pick what dishes you want, it makes the wait so worth it. Seriously! Love the quality of the sushi and that they are generous with the amount of fish/food you get. Worth it..
