We have been here twice and sat at the bar for drinks - been quite happy with our drinks! My favorite was the Whiskey Business. They have bartender’s choice if you can’t make up your mind. Ordered the No Respect too, it is pretty Scotch-forward, be warned, but good if you like it!
Went for brunch. Food was a 3 but vibe was a 5. Breakfast sandwich was messier/wetter than needed and bread (potato bun) could have stood to be toasted so as not to soak up the egg juices too much. Country potatoes were a bit too salty for my tastes as well. The herb and chèvre omelette my partner got was pretty good though. Overall would recommend for brunch.
I can't believe I've never written a review for Sapphire Hotel. I've been coming here for about a decade.
If you like great atmosphere and a dizzying array of cocktails, this is your place. They even include a small glossary of terms for the more obscure liqueurs and bitters.
I'm usually the fruity drink person, but I love their variation on the Old Fashioned with a giant cube, while my wife (vodka soda) gets the Popular Drink which comes with Pop Rocks! They even have a page of build your own classic cocktails based on the price point of the liquor you want. It's really a treat.
I don't think I even realized they had entrees until the last time I went. I always ordered off of the small plates and shared. They were really an incredible surprise. I don't even remember what I got, I just remembered all of us want to go back.
It's a local treasure with a lot of history. You owe yourself to go.
I cannot believe this restaurant was so affordable. It has all of the aspects of an upscale restaurant from it’s candlelight ambiance to the quality of the food. This is one of my favorite restaurants I have been to in a while. Part of the reason I chose the restaurant was for the cocktails for my husband, but it is always a highlight for me when there is a mock tail option (when you don’t drink you end up drinking either seltzer water with lime or a coke when you go out)— so 6 stars for this place!
Really cool atmosphere, great cocktails, great appetizers. To cap it all off the service was also really good. 5 stars
