First of all, the name of this restaurant makes it very much like an authentic and traditional Chinese restaurant, but in reality it is definitely not what I expected, there are no such things as Shandong chicken, Shandong beef, etc in Chinese cuisine. And therefore the main course does not meet my expectations or taste. However the potstickers are beyond expectations, crispy and tasty. The restaurant is neat and clean, and service is great too. But again if you are looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant, you may need to look elsewhere.
I've been to Shandong twice, and thoroughly enjoyed it both times, but from looking at other reviews and their website, I suspect I may have made a bit of a timing error. I've visited for lunch, getting together with one friend each time. So, I've ended up with a single lunch entree from the somewhat smaller midday menu. The plan for my next trip will be to go with a larger group of people so that I can share a much wider variety of things from the dinner menu. That being said, I have found Shandong's soup dumplings to be the equal of those I've had anywhere, and the chicken entrees have made for delightful lunches.
A regular stop for me. I've had so many things here, and nothing disappoints. They even offer some dim sum items during happy hour. I love the pork belly fried rice. the hot wings, shumai, the beans, the service, the drinks, gigantic pot stickers, sauteed green beans, spicy dry friend chicken, all things spicy dry rock in here. with hard liquor to boot.
Great food, as always. Some of the best Chinese food in town, and their take on hot and sour soup (more peppery than most) is both fascinating and tasty. Spicy garlic eggplant, though not as spicy as in years past, is still great. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Happy to continue being a repeat customer!
Great neighborhood restaurant! Took a business meeting here last week and we had exceptional service and food. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and seated, and our order was promptly taken. The waiter provided good suggestions when my dining partner was hesitant. I highly recommend their hand made noodles, especially Judy's Noodles!
