Shari's Cafe and Pies

My husband and I came in tonight at 10:00pm to get some dinner after a long night at the ER. the woman who was our waitress was the boss lady and she was absolutely amazing! She was very kind and patient and adored my sweet boy who is teething Right now. She was the only person on the floor because everyone else was nowhere to be found. She had gotten busy so I took it upon myself to help out a little. Once we finished our dinner experience I then busted the table to help her out because she was a one man band! Thank you very much for super service and a wonderful attitude.

Had a meal here with a very large group that came after a large family wedding. I realize that large groups can be a challenge with unique stresses and complications that waiting staff are expected to breeze through with a smile. Some places where this is the situation of a large group, the stresses are easily noticeable on how the staff responds to questions, the way they ask how they can help, pretty much their overall demeanor can sometimes scream annoyance. I’m grateful to say that our experience and Shari’s nothing but a joy. Don’t know the waitresses name but the sister with the piercings on her nose and lips, was the kindest person to ya throughout our whole time spent there. Always attentive, so much that I’m here leaving a review on how grateful we were for her kindness. We realize it’s a job, but she did such a superb job at making the whole experience there an enjoyable one.

The chicken and waffles were amazing. With bacon and green onions the gravy tasty as heck. I brought a peanut butter chocolate pie back to the office. Ten dollars and I might get employee of the month!

Food was fantastic. Service was not great. Waitress was very rude when we asked her to split check out. She did not ask us just put it all together. Me and 2 others go to Shari's quite a bit and it was never an issue. I finally had to say if you want paid you will need to figure it out. She went stomping off to get her manager who somehow figured it out. If she were my employee she would be looking for a new job. Manager was very nice. She lost most of her tip.
