Best Panini I've had in like 5 years!
Sorbu is *actually* perfect. I can't think of a single thing I would change. The prices are low for the quality, the people are nice, their giardiniera has me hooked, and they have weekly specials based on what they can source locally that are often VERY different from the normal menu. I'm always excited to see what they'll do next and they always put thought into it. I've had a German-tasting stone ground mustard panini with house-pickled cabbage, pillow-soft gnocchi, risotto with wild Tuscan mint, wild boar ragu over polenta, seasonal pumpkin, and some dank salads (seriously, don't sleep on the salad specials!) just to name a few.
Another important thing they do is keep their Instagram up to date. Want to know the current specials? Check their Instagram. Want to make sure they didn't have some emergency and decide to close the cart for the day? Check Instagram. It doesn't seem like a big deal but there are quite a few food carts that decide not to open for the day and there's no way to know until you show up. And being able to spy on the specials before you order is nice.
In summary: keep rocking, Sorbu. And I'll keep eating your delicious food.
We had a super fancy meal. Amazing flavors.
Perfectly toasted bread gives a crispy crunch to this yummy porchetta sandwich balanced with a whole rainbow of expertly pickled vegetables. Yummm
I will be craving this again!
+ polenta is the ultimate comfort food

😋😋😋😋😋😋
This place has become one of my go-to food carts. They make most everything in house, including all the bread. The menu changes each week so you can always try something different. They also have some classics that stay the same. And, I've never been to Italy, but I hear it's very authentic. You can eat their food while grabbing a beer next door at Oakshire.
