Toast

Still giving 4 stars because I love you guys and the food is usually wonderful, but today I got the Benny O which was missing the braised greens entirely, the eggs were a bit under poached, and my rosti was only half cooked (potatoes raw/crunchy on the inside). I'll be back with the hope that this was just a bad day. :(

Best Eggs Benedict I've EVER had. Truly! Ingredients are fresh and you can tell. The taste is amazing.

I've been eating at Toast for years and the food is always amazing! They have high quality meats and veggies, and delicious sauces and seasonings. The staff is always friendly and fun to chat with. I enjoy sitting at the bar and watching them cook

Lots to like and lots to question about Toast. The ingredients certainly appear high quality and the taste reflects it. However, the price points here can’t be justified for the quantity of food delivered. A $15.50 breakfast sandwich? Come on. All the dishes we ordered came with a similar lack of volume that left us hungry afterwards. I should have known the pricing was suspect when I saw that a side of bacon on the specials board was $5. For a Portland neighborhood breakfast haunt, these prices are on the very high end and without a corresponding filling plate of food, we won’t come back for the same experience. One more positive: good service
